Dosnt look like it to me. Just make sure its not soft. Also, see if you can scrape it off with your fingernail. Chris

It's not soft, and it won't scrape off. But it's happening to my ybs, too, just not as bad. What's going on here [glow=blue,2,300]:Chez[/glow]

Looks like my work firewall is blocking the pics - I'll take a look when I get home

It looks like a mild form of shell rot that's not too bad yet, go down t ur local store and pick up some REPTOCAL and rub it on his food (not the floating sticks). Also pick up any of the availible treatment ointments that they have for shell rot. It should go away in a bout a week or 2

Wow chez I bought a baby RES - I know I know shouldnt buy babies blah blah but IDC I wanted another turtle ;D And I noticed about a week after I got him he had gotten a white spot like that as well- And eventually My mom said no more turtles cus I had 5 so I gave 2 that my freind gave me to watch that were way to big to local turtle "shelter" and the one that I had watched the most the one with the spot like the ones your have to my Friend- Well I frequent my Friends house and practically live there sometimes so I get to see him alot, and wow has he grown but to getto the point theres no more spot... Hmm makes me think so I go home and look at my turtles very closely and see no spot, so Its led me to think that its part of them growing up, could it be some kind of 'natural' shell mutation they grow out of? Or maybe its just a sickness that they could get that goes away and is noticed in their shells? Who knows but Im positive its not shell rot because my turtles never got it and the turtle he is living with now also does not have it so, maybe its natural...?

I realised I was about 4 months behind schedule for changing the reptiglo. I think it had something to do with that, because the spots are dissapearing slowly everyday. [glow=blue,2,300]:Chez[/glow]
