Hello, It happened; something I hoped never would. I was driving down the road on which I live yesterday, and I hit and killed a cat. I wasn't going over the speed limit, but it was a gloomy day, and the cat was black, as is the road. I didn't see it until it was too late. My sister was with me, and she too didn't see it. She assured me it was just a peice of a tire, and told me not to turn around and go back. I think she knew it was a cat. Ironically, I was talking to her Thursday, and I told her that I would be very upset when I hit my first animal. It wasn't until today that my fear was confirmed, and my dad told me it was infact a cat that I had hit. I feel horrible. I took the life of another living thing . I wish I would have seen it in time! I don't know who's cat it was, but I figure it was one of the many strays that linger in our neighborhood. I would have stopped today to appologize for what I had done, but it just so happens that where I hit the cat, the only nearby home was my grandparent's, who don't own any cats. At any rate, Rest In Peace, Mystery Kitty!

Oh no! I hate it when cats and other animals jump out in front of the car. I'm the type to swerve most of the time. I feel bad for you though and it wasn't your fault. RIP

Hey, Thanks everyone. I don't think I would drive either, but I live in the country, and the nearest store is about 10 miles away. Thats a bit far! tdusa
